While hunting and fishing traditions are prevalent and popular throughout Ohio, they are under attack in other states across the country. Some Ohio lawmakers are working to ensure we have the opportunity to preserve this cherished way of life.
If the Legislature passes SJR 8, Ohio could – by support of a constitutional amendment – preserve these freedoms before the political winds change. The proposed constitutional amendment states “The right to hunt, fish, and harvest wildlife is a valued part of Ohio’s heritage and shall be forever preserved for the public good.”
