RIGHT TO HUNT AND FISH: PROTECTED

Wisconsin’s Constitution was amended by voters in April 2003 to protect the right to hunt and
fish. The measure passed with 83% of Wisconsinites voting in favor of protecting their rights. Article I, Section 26 of the Wisconsin Constitution states: “The people have the right to fish, hunt, trap, and take game subject only to reasonable restrictions as prescribed by law.”

T. ROOSEVELT ACTION ALERT: Protect Wisconsin’s Wolf Hunt

After years of inaction and mismanagement, Wisconsin’s wolf population has grown. Hunters, farmers, and residents of rural Wisconsin are raising their voices over concerns about a growing number of wolves and the problems that the predators bring to the area when left unchecked.

T. Roosevelt Action strongly supports Senate Bill 139 that would require the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to set a population goal for wolves so the state can responsibly manage its wolf population.
